Blitz Brigade is a team-based first person shooter available on the PC.

This is a very pretty shooter that's got a lot going on under the hood. With a good variety of weapons and missions available, the game goes much deeper than you might expect. While there's certainly a learning curve here, the multi-class structure will allow most players to find a class they love and stick to it. Blitz Brigade is a game that rewards time and effort as well as natural FPS ability.

The weird thing about the game, though, is that it's not nearly as kid-friendly as it looks. The game is a legitimate shooter, and that means there's going to be a ton of violence. If you've got a young child, you'll want to ignore the bright colors and instead pay attention to what goes on in the game. Perhaps more problematic, though, is the giant skill gap that exists in the game. There's not a lot of newbie-friendly areas where you can hone your skills, so most younger players will get very frustrated as they lose round after round to more experienced players.

Blitz Brigade falls somewhere in the middle of the pack when it comes to team-based shooters. It's definitely a lot of fun, but it's hard to know where it stacks up against the real leaders of the genre. If you are looking to play a quick and robust shooter, this is a very good place to start. Just don't look at as a game for the youngsters, and make sure that you're willing to put in some time if you want to stay competitive.
